Morelia
has the atmosphere of a European cathedral town. Set
at a bracing altitude of 6,368 feet, it is the state
capital of Michoacán and one of Mexico's most
gracious cities. Well planned and laid out, Morelia
is not difficult to explore. The majority of its attractions
are within a 6-block radius of the cathedral, one of
the most impressive in Mexico. The city gives one the
feeling of being in a town of Old Spain. In May and
June the average temperature Is 70 degrees F. and the
rainy season begins. Take an umbrella or a light raincoat.
